Winter Beauty Guide is a must in winters as one of the commonest skin ailments during the harsh winter months is dry skin. The moisture content in our skin diminishes due to frigid winter air, leading to dryness & peeling off of the skin, which strings.
For soft and dewy skin in winter, you have to put in some efforts. Using good products and taking few simple steps can help restore the integrity of your skin & also act as a barrier to breakouts of eczema, pigmented dry patches & even skin flakiness.
- use a good tinted sunscreen or a light sheer foundation.
- Avoid mousse and cream blushers as they flake the skin more.
- Avoid drying mattefying primers and foundations, as they tend to dehydrate and dry up the make-up.
- Use a good moisturising chap-stick over your lipstick
- Use a base hydrating primer to set the make-up and make it stay on for much longer.
Use these to get glowing, soft skin during winters.
Neem : Crush neem leaves and simply apply the paste to your skin before going to bed.
Kesar : Soak few strands of kesar with milk cream & use it as a face pack for 15 minutes. It helps remove dark spots & tans effectively.
Almond : Crush few almonds and mix them with coconut oil. Use this mixture to exfoliate your lips & remove dry skin.
Papaya : Massage your face gently with this fruit. It is rich in Vitamin A, C & E that nourishes the skin & give it the moisture & protection it needs.
In winters, oil your hair with moroccan oil or olive oil mixed with almond oil and leave it on for 30 minutes before showering.
Also, using good serum on damp hair can help dry hair. Use mashed bananas, aloe vera gel and honey to nourish your hair.
Use lukewarm water to wash hair as running hot water can damage your hair even more making it fix for growth of flakes.

Go for a light-difussing cream concealer. Apply it under your eyes with your ring finger and blend it as well. Then gently dust over some sheer loose powder to even out the skin tone.

Go bold with your eye makeup. Lipsticks is better than lips stains as they look patchy & dry up your lips.
3. Brittle Nails
Invest in a good quality nail hardener that will make your nails stronger and shinier. Also, avoid spending a lot of time with your hands in water as it can soften your nails, causing them to break easily and keep your nails free from nail polish and fake nails.
4. Split Ends
A temporary method of fixing split ends it to rub a teeny bit of styling cream between your fingers and apply it on the frayed ends. or you can use MAYONNAISE. Yes, you heard it right! Mayonnaise is an excellent treatment for your dry hair suffering from split ends. Simply apply mayonnaise on your hair twice a week, especially on split ends.
5. Dry Skin
Aloe Vera is best for dry skin.
- Cut open a fresh aloe vera leaf and squeeze the gel out of it.
- Apply the gel on your dry skin. Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Rinse it off with lukewarm water.
- Do this twice daily.
