Despite losing both hands in a tragic accident, Amir Hussain Lone plays his most favorite game, Cricket in his own discovered way. He not only plays cricket for recreation but is also representing his State, Jammu and Kashmir.
At the age of 8, he lost his both hands at his father’s workplace, in a sawmill which used to make cricket bats. His family spent all their money to recover the loss but the doctors gave up, resulting to sever his both arms. Since then Amir lived a life of rebukement and grief for society.
He wanted to study but was told that their are no special teachings available for children like him. Then he himself discovered and learned an unique way of playing the favorite game, cricket. He holds the bat from his neck, bowl from his feet and even catch.
Not just the cricket, but he does all his work at his own will. He can write, shave, eat and wear clothes with two feet.
He is 26, representing as the Jammu and Kashmir’s state para cricket team captain and has aimed to represent the International level as well. All his friends, family and society feel proud of him today for not losing the hope of winning even after a great loss. They also appreciate his way and talent of playing cricket so nicely.
